"To see with eyes unclouded by hate."
What I love the most about Princess Mononoke is that despite the ever growing conflict between man and nature, the story is an ultimate message of peace and hope. We should all grow and prosper together instead of fight against each other.
Spirited Away is my second favorite Miyazaki movie and it's long overdue for a fanart :)
I especially love the scene when Chihiro put her forehead against Haku. It was such a serene feeling of connection and bonding, as if saying "As long as you're here, everything will be okay."
Fanart of Evangelion Rebuild 3.0
Life is like a symphony
Between this performance and the next
I hope we'll meet again.
On the plane ride back from Japan, the clouds were so beautiful I wanted to fall through them. I used that as the inspiration for the Shelter fanart :)
Falling in space, trapped in your own imagination, a beautiful and lonely world.
More Shelter fanart. There's something about the loneliness and the childish wonder that feels so nostalgic to me. I spent much of my own childhood alone and lost in my imagination, but it was to escape my dysfunctional and abusive family. In a way, I'm jealous of Rin, at least she is there because of her father's love.
Tribute to my favorite Miyazaki movie of all time. Princess Mononoke portrays the beauty and challenges of coexisting with mother nature so perfectly. It teaches a lesson that we can all learn from. If you haven't seen this classic already, I highly recommend it
Fanart of the game.
Yuri on Ice fanart :) there's just something about being warm together in the snow that makes it so sweet <3
Fanart of Asuka :D one of my favorite characters from Evangelion. I love her sense of pride and strength, and her constant struggle to overcome the trauma of her past is something I deeply empathize with. Underneath that confident exterior is someone full of insecurities and pain.
I decided to draw this one in a slightly different style than my usual work. I was able to make her plugsuit extra shiny using a photoshop technique. I'll make a tutorial one day :D
Fanart of Princess Mononoke and gift for a friend.
I was looking into more 3D programs when I remembered MikuMikuDance (MMD). After wasting hours watching Tiger and Bunny dancing to Lady Gaga songs, I finally got the program and started looking for models to download. I came across Aegis from Persona and thought the design looked really cool so I used the MMD model as a pose reference (linked below) and tried to draw it in the style of the original artist. It was a lot of fun to try something new.
The Alpacamons started as a joke because my friend bought a crap load of Alpacasso from Taiwan and now everyone I know has one of these. I decided to cross all the alpacas with a Pokemon of their choice and before I knew it, there are 9 of them :3
From the top:
Alpazard (Charizard), Alpakachu (Pikachu), Alpix (Vulpix)
Alpacapi (Togepi), Alpacoddish (Oddish). Alpacion (Typhlosion)
Alpacreon (Umbreon), Alpafeon (Leafeon), Alpactrio (Dugtrio)
Decades of artistic training has accumulated in this moment. Behold! My one true masterpiece.
Business Fish is my husbando~ <3 Gaze upon his handsome face and look deeply into those alluring eyes >////<
Silly gift for a friend who is a huge fan of the Portals game.
Secret Santa gift for a friend who wanted a drawing of Alibaba from Magi :3
Artwork I did for the Kintoki-con mascots :)
This started as a failed attempt at The Meek fanart www.meekcomic.com It looked nothing like Angora so I just made it into something else…
Fanart of The Legend of Korra :)
